The End has Come

After a semester of blogging, the time is here to say goodbye to WEPO and to blogging on a weekly basis. I believe that this semester I have learned a great deal, especially from managing this blog.

I've really enjoyed this project because it allowed me at least one day out of the week where I could focus on writing and focus on writing/researching a topic that I love, fashion. Being able to do this each week has enabled me to be able to become more informed about the fashion industry and choices that are being made. I've learned a great deal about trends, the works and collections of many designers, and about how the fashion industry works in a nutshell. I think that this has been really beneficial for stimulating my interest about the topic and I am far from being bored about the world of fashion.

In terms of things I think I did well on this blog, I think I maintained a cohesive writing style throughout my posts. I put a lot of thought into each post and I feel like that was evident through my writing. I also think that I provided quality content in each post, using real fashion magazines and blogs as a source of reference for each post. I could've done a few things differently for sure, as well. I don't have an established personal style, as of yet, and I think that determining that may help to give more unity to the posts I would be making if I did this again in the future. I think that before I would pursue a career in this field, it would be beneficial to get myself published and become a bit more knowledgeable about the fashion world so I could access jobs with more ease. I think that this is still a career field that I am very much interested and I hope to keep up blogging in the future!
